WallyZIP – The YemuZip Replacement

macOS – Apple Silicon

WallyZIP is a replacement for YemuZip. As a web developer on a Mac, removing all the .dot files from a zip archive is essential for the day to day. YemuZip has been my go to for years, but just crashes consistently on Apple silicone or hangs before an archive is completed. So I made an alternative.

WallyZIP archives result in a zip file that will work on both Mac and PC, but will be stripped of any Mac OS X metadata including file icons , dot files and other information stored in the resource fork.
