It was brought to my attention by our web team that your website is now reaching XX years since its original deployment. This means that several parts of your site’s original development are out of date, and after July 31, will no longer be supported in our current hosting environment. As your site continues to age, this also leaves it vulnerable to hacking, data loss, and a degraded user experience, especially on mobile devices.
Don’t worry! We have time to figure this out. Rest assured your site will continue to run just fine past this date, but it does increase the risk of failing due to incompatibilities or security holes.
As a solution, we would like to propose a rebuild of your site. This will help to ensure that you won’t encounter any of these unwanted situations, and will let you take advantage of the mobile-first practices that Google and other search engines place a premium on. In almost all cases, it improves the ease of content updates, speed, reduction in form spam, and eliminates browser security warnings.
Additionally, there are many ways to approach this upgrade. If you are happy with the content and functionality of your existing site, we will simply migrate that to the new build of your site. If you would rather take this opportunity to also expand upon or change the content and/or features or functionality of your site, it’s a great time to do that too.
Let us know if you would like to set up a meeting or a conference call to go over our recommendations in more detail.
